Rushwick Parish
Council (RPC) have a range of powers, and the activities RPC is, and can
become, involved in are immense. Primarily RPC are involved in planning,
running of community infrastructure including the village hall and
Playscape and representation at district and county level.
RPC is a statutory body and is funded principally by an annual precept. Income and expenditure for the next financial year are calculated in the form of estimates. The net amount (the precept) is added to council tax, collected by the principal authority, and paid to the RPC in two six-monthly instalments. The RPC does not receive funds direct from central government, as principal authorities do. Councillors are elected for a term of four years. RPC consists of 9 Councillors supported by 2 District Councillors and a County Councillor. If you
